| What you'd like to see in a Parallel Works 2 |
[Jan. 2nd, 2010|08:18 pm] |
So, along with the potential Nia music video and Viral OVA, the guys at GAINAX have been talking about wanting to make a Parallel Works 2 for a while.
Let's say it happens. What would you personally like to see? Who would you like to direct, and what BGM tracks would you like to be used?

I watched the entirety of Gurren Lagann on YouTube. After becoming a fan of it, I resolved to buy the actual DVDs one day.
Now I have actually found some in JB Hi-Fi (a store which is the only place I know which sells anime not of the saturday-morning-dub variety). The first one I found was a single case with Simon on the front cover, which had about four or so episodes in it. More recently, I found a later volume, and also, most interestingly, a big box, covered in very pretty artwork, with a DVD marked 'Volume One' and a plastic core drill. I liked the sound of that, but the 'volume one' tag made me a bit wary, as the first DVD I had found was also marked as volume one and only had for episodes. I don't want to have to pay about AU$33 for four episodes and a plastic drill. What exactly is on this DVD? |

I'm looking for a piece of fanart and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I thought I saw it on this community but I can't find it using the tags.
It's a shot of Simon and Rock Volnutt from Megaman, both holding drills pointing upward? I think it had a caption but I can't remember what it said. If anyone has this saved or might know where I could find it, I'd appreciate it! |

A few offerings and seasonal tidings, gurren_lagann. It's not exactly Christmas, but you know how the holidays are -- somebody stops by for a visit and next thing you know you're in the middle of the woods with no internet.
Better late than never, so pierce the new decade with ludicrous fan art!

And to Rafflesia, whose art request was finished after the Gurren forums went down: Beastmen in Repose, Fabulous.

I'm considering buying at least one of the Gurren Lagann artbooks, but I'm not sure which one I want. I don't want to be disappointed if I buy one considering the prices on these books.
Right now I'm looking at the Groundwork of Gurren Lagann (mainly #3) or the Gurren Lagann Sketch Books ( mainly #3 or #4). I'd really appreciate it if anyone could tell me about these books or even better if you could show me some scans (or link to a gallery/download/torrent).
I'm mainly interested in Time-Skip Nia, Anti-Spiral/Messenger Nia, Time-Skip Simon, GARlock/Starlock Simon and SimonxNia relationship.
Thanks! |
